The hotel is superbly set on one of the last historic parkland properties of its kind, covering 6 acres of indigenous riverside gardens – an eco-managed haven for local fauna and flora, and a secluded rest-stop for guests who have delighted in this rare place for over 115 years.

Climate controlled, with 24-hour internet access, satellite TV, and the finest home-from-home comforts, room options include Luxury or Deluxe double en-suites, airy open-plan Junior Suites, private self-cater Cottages and extravagant apartment-size Suites, with wheelchair-friendly and interleading rooms also available.

Celebrated for gourmet fare, the Vineyard boasts no less than four eateries. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at the popular contemporary-styled The Square restaurant and sushi bar, with globalfusion style menus and Cape wines from a connoisseur cellar at the Conde Nasté-awarded Myoga. Coffee, cocktails and snacks are available indoors, or out at the convivial Garden Lounge, with healthconscious refreshments from the poolside Splash Café.

The square restaurant
Our signature 100-seater restaurant serves generous breakfast - buffet and to-order. À la carte lunch includes light, easy dishes, and dinner boasts classic, local and contemporary fare and seasonal, themed menus from chef, Carl van Rooyen. Wine-paired dining matches gourmet flavours to top Cape vintages. There is a dedicated sushi chef and we also offer a Kids’ Menu of easy favourites.

This independently-owned 100-seater ‘cuisinerie’, led by chef Mike Basset, serves an eclectic menu incorporating a multitude of flavours and influences, both local and global. Casually sophisticated lunch offers lighter-meal mains and ‘illicit’ desserts. Serious food-lovers can enjoy 7-course dinner or wine-pairing menus, featuring innovative dishes and superb Cape wines.

Leisure activities at the Hotel include spa treatments, guided walks and more. Top local experiences are within walking distance or a short drive away. The Hotel is also ideally located just off the main Peninsula sightseeing route, 10 minutes from the city and an hour’s drive from the Cape Winelands.
