Tongabezi Lodge Featured

Since our inception we have understood that a journey can act like truth serum. For a finite space in time the traveller is buffered against what is taken for granted and is able to experience enlightenment, beauty and Technicolor dreams. Go ahead and expect the delightfully unexpected from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. A stunning sunrise, a playful baby rhino, a bubble bath awaiting your return courtesy of your valet... Houses & Cottages The five houses and four river cottages are each individually styled, with their own character, and catering for two to five guests. Experience private romance at the Honeymoon House, wake up amongst the trees in the Tree House, or enjoy a romantic dinner from your own private deck overlooking the Zambezi River from one of our River Cottages. DISCOVER OUR HOUSES & COTTAGES Experiences Tongabezi offers our guests a wide range of activities during your stay. Visit the majestic Victoria Falls, enjoy an early morning Game Drive, drift down the Zambezi River on a Sunset Cruise, or have a romantic dinner out on the river on our floating Sampan. There are also some great activities for adrenaline junkies - white water rafting, elephant back safaris, microlighting, helicopter rides, or the famous Victoria Falls bungee jump. There’s also a visit to our local school, run by Tongabezi, Tujatane. ACTIVITIES Victoria Falls One of the seven natural wonders of the world, Mosi Oy Tunya or "the smoke that thunders" is a short drive from Tongabezi. Our guides will take you to view the breathtaking sheet of water cascading down 108m, get drenched in the spray, and walk Knife Edge bridge. You can also visit Livingstone Island where David Livingstone first gazed on the Falls, swim in Devil's Pool overlooking the edge, or take a microlight or helicopter flight through the gorge and over the Falls.
