Thula Thula Exclusive Private Game Reserve & Lodge Featured

The Zulu name Thula Thula literally means peace and tranquility... Thula Thula, with its centuries of cultural and wildlife heritage, takes pride in tracing back it's origin to the private hunting grounds of King Shaka, founder of the Zulu Empire. The first historic meeting between Shaka and his father (Senzangakhona), which set the stage for the creation of the Zulu Nation, took place at the Nseleni River at Thula Thula. ENERAL INFORMATION: Accommodation: 8 luxury tents : 6 standard luxury tents : 2 3/4 beds, ensuite bathroom with Victorian bath and outside shower, mosquito net, tea and coffee, fan, private veranda. 2 family tents.: 2 3/4 beds for parents and 2 single beds, mosquito nets, teas and coffee, en suite bathroom with Victorian bath and shower, fan. All beds equipped with electric blankets. Facilities: Central living area with bar, dining room, lounges, airconditioned lounge with TV/DSTV, outside thatched bar, boma, swimming pool. Activities: A morning bush walk, an afternoon game drive. Game drives and bush walks are conducted on the Thula Thula private game reserve by our professional rangers and trackers. Game viewing includes elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, crocodile, hyena, wildebeest, kudu, nyala, zebra and many more, including exceptional birdlife. Optional extras: Sangoma expeditions in the rural Zulu Village, Game drives in Hluluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve, Whale watching (June to October), Ste Lucia cruises, Therapeutic spa massages, mountain biking, picnic champagne lunch in the bush, Children: Children of any age are welcome Children 2 to 12 pay 50% of adult rate if sharing with parents or 2 adults in the family tent or in standard luxury tent. Children under 4 years old are not permitted on game drives. Mini Bush walks for children under 12 are organised within the fenced perimeter around the tented area with rangers and trackers. What to take: Walking shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, cameras, binoculars, light clothing and swimming costumes in summer and in winter warm clothing and jackets. Malaria free area. Climate: Summer (September - March). Hot days, warm nights. Temperatures 25 - 35 degrees centigrade. Winter (April - August). Dry season: generally warm days, cool nights. Temperatures 10 - 25 degrees centigrade.
